Wings Automobile Products was certified ISO 9002 in 1996 and QS 9000 in 2001. The company is now certified ISO/TS 16949:2002, ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:1999. The certifications have certainly improved analytical capabilities and attitude towards society thereby resulting in continual improvement in products manufactured by company and achieving customer delight.

The company is committed to meet customers' requirements all the time by implementing its Quality Policy through training and involvement of all the employees.

Further, the company has been certified for DOL (Direct On Line) supplies to Hero Honda Motors Ltd, one of its OEMs.

Production of Ignition Coils and allied components has increased from 1.315 million to 2.3 million during the period 2002-03 to 2004-05. This is an increase of 75% over production in 2002-03.

Based on the company's growth, THE ROAD AHEAD of the company will result in the development and manufacture of CDI's, ACG's and Self Starters. The company has put in considerable efforts for their developments. We are also in the process of developing Ignition Coils for four wheeler vehicles also.

"Our production infrastructure includes CNC Digital Automatic Coil Winding Machines from Germany, Japan, Taiwan & India. Automatic Moulding Machines, Automatic Vacuum Mixing, Metering and Potting Plant from Germany. Automatic `I' Stacking Tool and Cable Cutting Plants etc. We are in a position to manufacture 3 million Ignition Coils in a year. We are in the process of enhancing this to 5 million Ignition Coils per annum.

We are already exporting Assembled Stators, C.B.Points, Condensers and Ignition Coils to a company in Italy. We are in advanced stage for export to a big group company in Indonesia.
    FUTURE PLANS »
 
The Company has developed chip based CDIs for four stroke vehicles. Efforts in progress to develop Micro Controller based CDIs through software and hardware developments. A number of other components for for Ignition System are also under active consideration for development which will further promote R & D in Ignition System.

Efforts being continued to properly conceptualize ECU / ECM (Electronic Control Unit / Electronic Control Module) for four wheelers and two wheelers. Efforts are being progressed to become a professional tool designer, manufacturer and supplier of laminations for elite industries.
